Baseball x2

This morning both Josh and Jason had Tball. Both games were at the same time at different fields. It made for an interesting shuffle this morning, but it worked. As we were getting ready this morning I heard 4 words yelled across the house to me from Josh that made Mike and I about pee our pants laughing.... "MOOOOMMM, where's my cup?!" It was hilarious. I thought it was a little silly that little guys are wearing these, but today a boy at Jason's game took a baseball straight in the "you know what". Poor guy... I bet he will be asking his Mom the same question next week.

Jason was excited for it to finally be his turn to play.




He cut his thumb when he and another kid ran into each other and fell when he was running from 3rd base to home. Look at this little face. His poor thumb was getting blood everywhere.


Jason and I were able to make it over to Josh's game for about the last two innings.




One thing this mommy loves about busy baseball mornings... makes for an awesome nap time for the boys!

He is Risen!

Happy Resurrection Day! We have had a fun weekend full of celebrating Easter and what Jesus Christ did for each and every one of us on that cross. It is so sweet to hear my kids re-tell the Easter story. I really should write down what each of them say and keep it. So precious!

We celebrated Easter a few days early with family. It was a fun Easter egg dying and hunting, nerf gun war, cousin playing, food eating, laughing kind of day.

To continue our fun filled weekend, we got to celebrate the engagement of two of our many friends getting married this summer. I am not over exaggerating when I say many. We have 5 weddings (so far) set for this summer, all close friends of ours (one being my little bro).

Anthony and Maira are tying the knot in July. Mike and Anthony have been friends since Jr. High. He was is our wedding and now Mike is honored to be in his.


We had a nice low key Easter Sunday today. Since Daddy had to work today we went to church, came home and had a quick lunch then it was the boys and I for the rest of the day. We took naps (ahh yes, me too), played some baseball in the backyard and did about 527 Easter egg hunts.

I tried to take some pics of the boys before we headed off to church... in the rain. This was my best attempt. Josh was wiping snot off his nose saying, "Mom, no more pictures!" Jason was yelling, "Take a picture of my bum, Mommy!"


I was getting so mad that they wouldn't stand still and smile for me, but now after looking at these pictures it makes me laugh. They are just too much!

We are all things baseball over here. We have baseball 3 times a week and soon to be 4 times a week when Jason starts next week. (be prepared for a whole lot of baseball posts for awhile) Poor Jason doesn't get that he gets to play too, but just has to wait a little longer. He wants to get out on that field with his brother so bad.

I just love seeing Josh so happy. The boy loves baseball and is good at it. I know I am totally biased, but he is really one of the best ones on his team. I am such a proud Mama!

We are just having so much fun and enjoying all this family time that baseball brings!

Some Baseball and a Musical

With Daddy and Jason still being sicky stragglers, Josh and I took the opportunity to leave them home together and go enjoy our day. It is not often that I get one on one time with the boys. I don't think a doctors appointment or a grocery shipping trip counts. I do that often with just one of them, but I mean a "date", something different.

Josh and I spent Saturday morning getting all of his and brother's baseball gear ready. This is really a job for daddy, but it is crunch time and daddy was home sick. We got new cleats, baseball pants, etc. and let me tell you... size XS Wilson baseball pants may be one of the cutest things ever. We ended our morning with some blue raspberry icees and went home to check on the sickies.


Later in the evening Josh and I went to see the play Charlotte's Web. It was here in town and a few of Josh's friends were in it. This was Josh's first real play in a theatre and he loved it! It was quite an adorable musical and the kids performing did so good. We got there early and stood in line for about 30 minutes, which paid off because we got front row seats.

Josh even got to go up on stage and draw the raffle ticket. He was the cutest ever!



After the show with his friends(who we recently found out we are cousins through marriage on my mom's side!) Sammy and Everett who were fair go-ers in the play.


A really fun day and special day with my almost 5 year old!

Feelin' Better Friday

What a week..... No, let me say it again..... What a week!!

After being cooped up last week with the week of rain we had, I was SO looking forward to the spring weather approaching. So ready that on the last day of pouring down rain, the kids and I trudged to Costco to buy groceries, all BBQing meals. We love to BBQ and be out in the backyard on nice days.

Then we all got hit with the stomach flu... yuck! I can finally say that today being day 5 of this nonsense, we are finally starting to feel better. Not sure if I want a big, juicy steak for dinner better, but I'll take feeling better.

All our fun plans got cancelled this week. I hate when that happens. I always feel so bad cancelling on people even though I know they appreciate me not sharing our nasty germs.

Anyways, time to get back to normal life and enjoy this weather. We are about to start baseball times 2! Josh gets to play real Little League this year and Jason will be doing Tball through the YMCA. I am way behind on my cleats and baseball attire shopping and coach Daddy is way behind on practicing with the boys.
