Random...

I have so much in my head and I feel like I could write a handful of posts right now. I'll save you from the boredom and just make a list(I am an obsessive list maker) of my random thoughts.

~It's killing me that we can't kind find the pool table and entry way lighting we want for our living room
~I need to touch up all the trim paint in the bedrooms, but it's impossible to do it when the boys are sleeping, yet alone awake
~I CANNOT believe that my 22 month old is potty trained
~I am so looking forward to lunch and pedis with the girls tomorrow
~I have hidden Easter basket gifts all over the house and am really hoping I find them all when it's time to play "Easter Bunny"
~I hope that all the talking to my boys about the REAL meaning of Easter is sinking in
~I need to clean out my fridge
~I'm way overdue for highlights
~Our grass needs to be mowed (hint hint, hubby)
~I have a ton of plastic eggs that need to be filled for our church's Easter Egg Hunt
~Josh's Tball dates got changed
~I better remember to shave my legs for tomorrow's pedicure
~I need a manicure too after all this painting
~I'm so glad Mike actually has Easter off this year and I'm not home alone with the boys
~I'm not really into American Idol this year and that's a first
~I am so hungry

Okay, I could really keep going on and on. I have so much on my mind. Enough with this random post... here are some fun pics.

Fun Week

We've had a busy, fun and productive week. My mom has been visiting all week, which was so nice. For all of you out there who have your parents close by, you are so blessed. Boy would my life as a 2 boy mama be 10 times easier if my mom lived here.

We did lots this week...

We went Monterey to take the boys to the aquarium and do some shopping, which is where Josh met his new friend.

Mike and I got to go on a day date complete with a couples massage, lunch and shopping for new lighting for our living room.

We did this for 4 straight nights after the boys went to bed. We are done with the living room, now to pick colors for the family room. (not a fan of ladder climbing, but hubby was at work and I was too excited to paint and too impatient to wait for him)

We surprised the kids with dinner one night at Chucky Cheese. Totally didn't have my camera with me though. Josh has been begging to go, but the germaphobe in me has been putting it off. The boys loved it and Josh really wants his birthday party there.

My Grandma and Sister came to visit. The boys loved playing with Grammy and Tia!

We spent all week taking this big boy to the potty. Jason has totally amazed us. He's not even 2 yet. He sits on the potty and actually goes all day. I am going to be a diaper free mom real soon!!!

What to do?

My boys have colds...again. Nothing major, just stuffy/runny noses. Once again, I know exactly where they got it from... the gym.

I absolutely love going to the gym. It's my only "me" time. Most of the time I leave the boys home with Daddy when I go, but there are times when he's not home and I have one of my classes or I'm just itching for some of that "me" time. The boys do enjoy playing with the cool toys and with the other kids.

Last week, the boys just really wanted to go with me to the gym and play in their class. So, I took them every day last week and sure enough... they have colds.

This happens every time. They can go with me once or a few days in a row and a couple days later they are sick. Their little classroom appears to be clean and the nice teacher always reassures me that she sanitizes every day. But there has got to be germs lurking all over that place and snotty kids.

I can't be a germaphobe and I can't isolate my kids, but it is really getting old. Now I don't know if I should just continue to take them or only go workout when Daddy is home so they can stay home with him.

I know... it's silly, but I'm a little torn on what to do.

Do you ever....

... just stare at your kids?

At their cute little noses, perfectly placed freckles, big sparkling eyes and their contagious smiles...

Do you ever just stare at your kids and think to yourself, why did God choose me to take care of these precious little ones?

Do you ever just stare at your kids and think to yourself, how am I ever going to raise these precious little ones into God fearing kids, teens, adults?

I do... all.the.time! I don't only just stare at my kids because they are so stinkin cute, but I stare at them while I wonder... how in the world can I be the best Mommy to these prefect little boys that God has blessed me with.

As hard as being a parent may be, as much as my boys tire me out, frustrate me, and at times completely overwhelm me...

I can just stare at them and thank God for entrusting me with these two prefect, precious little boys and ask him for guidance.
