Wedding, Yard Work and Pizza

I should be in bed. It's late. I was at school for almost 12 hours today. We had an Open House tonight. Got to see my boys for literally minutes today... lovely. They both fell asleep in the car on the way home, so I put them straight from the car to bed. But, some American Idol and blogging is pretty relaxing after today.

First of all, Jason is doing great after his surgery. He has been home with Daddy since I went back to school this week. Since Daddy got called into work early in the morning Jason will have to go to school tomorrow. He seems okay to go for one day this week and is excited to see his friends.

We got some exciting news over the weekend from my sister, Amber. She got engaged!! Her boyfriend Nate popped the question and they are planning a wedding for possibly September. So the planning has begun! So fun!

We spend lots of time in the backyard this weekend doing yard work, planting flowers, flower seeds, rose bushes and attempting a small garden. Hopefully, we will actually get something to grow.
One of the three areas where we dug up the plants that died this winter and planted new flowers.

More roses

This boy was such a good helper. Jason was taking his nap.

Worms, worms and more worms

We pulled a ton of weeds and attempted a small garden. We really had no clue what we were doing, but it was fun.

Mike put in some kind of sprinkler/drip line so I don't have to go out a water every day. If our dog, Roxy doesn't ruin it we should have pumpkins, romaine lettuce, spinach, peas and carrots.  The tomato plants are waiting to be planted.
Our plans this weekend, besides baseball, is to plant some new bright flowers in the front yard.

On Monday, I got a substitute for my class in the morning and went on Josh's field trip. We went to Pizza My Heart.
His class walked to the bus stop and got to ride the city bus.

After the tour one guy did some cool tricks with pizza dough.

Josh piled all the toppings under and on top of his cheese.

He actually ate it too with all those toppings.
Good night... off to finish American Idol and hit the hay.
