Supervision Is Overrated

Sunday after church I was in the kitchen making lunch, Mike was sitting at the table, Jason was playing with toys on the floor and Josh was in the backyard playing with Roxy, our dog.... this was the conversation that took place.

April: Isn't it so nice that Josh and Roxy can play in the backyard by themselves?
Mike: Yeah, it is!
(Mike opens the blinds)
Mike: OH MY GOSH, Josh is chasing the dog with poison!

Apparently, Josh had found the weed killer that has the attached spray gun and was chasing Roxy all over the yard with it.

Is This What Brothers Do?

Notice the fat lip???? Yeah... that would be from his big brother pushing him from behind while he was crawling, which led to a major faceplant on the wood floor. Lots of blood, crying and big trouble for big brother!

My Big Little Boy

Over the last two weeks Jason has started doing so many new things. Sometimes I feel like I am a new Mommy all over again. I get so excited about the new little things he is doing. Jason is officially crawling, has one bottom tooth, eating finger foods and pulling himself up on things to stand. He can even say Mama, Dada and Josh. It is hard to believe he is almost 10 months old!

I am remembering what it is like to have a filthy highchair(and baby, and bib, and floor) after meals.


It's almost time to get ready for another 1st birthday!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Since the weather has been gorgeous, we have been having lots of picnics in our backyard. I took these pictures a few days ago. When I finally uploaded them, I noticed that the boys are doing the exact same thing. I thought it was pretty funny.

We Finally Did It

Mike and I joined a gym today! I even went to my first toning and body sculpting class, which totally kicked my booty. I am very excited that this gym has a pool and a ton of awesome classes. It also has child care that is surprisingly nice and clean. All the classes I want to take are usually times when Mike is home and can be with the kids, but it is nice to know it's there if we need it or want to go workout together.

Time to get our butts back in shape!!!

Fun Visit

The boys and I got back yesterday from a little roadtrip down to Santa Maria to visit my family. The driving to and from is always hard with both boys by myself. In the back seat of my Tahoe I put Josh's potty chair in between the boys' carseats. You can just imagine what a lovely sight that was. I was pulled over on Hwy 101 for either a potty break or for Josh to puke his guts out. Poor guy gets so carsick. We always have such a fun time seeing everyone, once we get there! =)

Josh got a haircut and this time not by Daddy.


Josh got to see his cousins, Mason and Mareya's pigs.


We went to my Aunt Carol and Uncle Marv's Luau.



The boys got to see their cousin, Liliana. Jason and Liliana are two weeks apart.



Nanie and Poppie (my parents) are coming this week to visit. It is so hard living far from family, but extra fun when we all get to see each other.
