Disney on Ice

Wednesday night we took the boys to see Disney on Ice. The show always comes to town, but it is usually princess shows. This time is was Toy Story 3.

We have had our tickets for awhile, so the boys were pretty excited about it. But what they didn't know was that they had front row seats. It was pretty awesome!!

I have about 160 pictures I took. I may have gotten a little carried away. The characters were within arms length of us, so I couldn't help myself every time they skated over.

I loved the Barbies. They had the best choreography!

Barbie and Ken did some pretty awesome pair skating. Their lifts were super cool. Too bad I didn't get a good pic of them.

A Little Fun and a Lot of Sickness

It is officially winter break. YAHOO!!! We have lots of fun stuff planned and some surprises for the boys these week. Too bad they are sick. Not just cough, runny nose sick. They both have double ear infections, on albuterol breathing treatments for their congestion and wheezing, vomiting, high fevers and Josh has a perforated ear drum.  My poor babies! They missed 2 1/2 days of school last week and 2 this week. Mike and I took turns staying home with them. I pray they get better real fast!!

Even though they have been sick we were able to sneak in a few days of fun on the days they were feeling a well.

Josh had his 100th day of Kindergarten. This is a big deal. Big celebration all day long in the Kindergarten classes. Unfortunately, he had to go home early that day with a fever but he was able to enjoy the fun for a little bit.

Both Josh and Jason had fun Valentine's Day parties in their classes. We had fun making all their Valentine's to send to school for their friends and teachers. My class had a field trip that day and a party. Too bad Daddy had to work that night so we didn't get to see him until Wednesday after school.

We came home to this.

The best Vday gift ever wasn't the roses, mushy card or my fave champagne. It was the spotless, clean house we came home to. My hubby is getting good in his old age.
The boys and I had a super mellow night. We made heart pizza and drank pink milk for dinner. Jason was not a fan of the pink milk at all though... too girly. Then it was bedtime, so we read all the Valentine's books we had and called it a night.

Hopefully, these boys can have a restful weekend and get healthy for our week off.

Go Warriors!

Friday night was our school's Elementary Basketball Night. Since Josh is in a sports program at school called Little Warriors he chose basketball as his "First Look" sport. This means that he got to spend the game with the Varsity basketball team. He was with them before the game in the team room. He got to give high fives to all the players as they ran out onto the court.

He got to stand with the team as the National Anthem was sang. Boy Scouts from our school presented the flags, including one sweet boy from my class.

During warm up time the boys all got to sit in the player seats.

After the first quarter, they all got to go up to the Athletic offices, have a snack and watch part of the game from the windows overlooking the basketball court. This pic is of Josh in the window.

At halftime the Jr. Cheer performed. Two girls in my class were preforming and they all were so cute!

Josh had so much fun and keeps saying he wants to go to the next basketball game. It was especially cool because our school is where Mike went to and graduated from. This is the same gym that Mike played varsity basketball in. It is pretty cool to come back and have it be for your kid's events.

Jason had fun in the stands watching the game with us. He wanted to go on the court and play with the players so bad.
At one point the ball was being taken out right in front of us and the ref let Jason hold the ball while the players got situated. That was the coolest thing ever for him.

When I get overwhelmed with teaching full time and being a mommy, it is times like these that make it all worth it. The boys would not be able to attend this amazing school if I wasn't working there. So seeing them experience things like Josh's "First Look" into his favorite sport and on top of it being all Christ centered makes it worth it.

No More Training Wheels

Jason gets to stay home with Daddy a couple days a week. Mike is so great and always does something with Jason. Whether it's going to the park, playing catch in the backyard or just riding bikes. On Thursday, I came home to this...

They had spent the day learning to ride with no training wheels. I was so impressed with Jason. Mike said he only had to hold the back of the bike for a couple tries and then he was off. He did fall a few times (the million pads helped) but Jason has always fallen off his bike, scooter, skateboard on purpose so he thought crashing was fun. In no time he was following his big brother all over our court.



Josh learned to ride his 2 wheeler pretty early too. Jason is 3 and amazes me with how coordinated he is.  Now Mike the boys are excited to both be on 2 wheelers for camping this summer. I bet you can guess what we will be doing all weekend. :)
