Cars 2

The boys were a little bummed about coming home from camping a day early. We told them not to worry that we had something fun planned for when we got home.

We couldn't be home on Saturday afternoon anyways because we were having an Open House (our buyers walked...long story...our house is still for sale...another post). So we took the boys to do "something fun" and it was to see Cars 2.

This was Jason's first time at the movie theater. Josh has been before to see Toy Story 3 and Tangled. They were pretty excited. Can you tell?

Josh watched with a huge smile on his face and eyes glued on the screen. Jason fell asleep halfway through. It was a 1:40pm movie, which is totally nap time.

The movie was a fun one. I wasn't to thrilled about one of the first lines being, "What a jerk!" Other than that and idiot said a few times it was pretty good and loaded with action, which my boys love.

Camping

We went camping this week at the Pinnacles and as always we had a lot of fun!
We love camping and were looking forward to getting away from everything. There is a pool at the campground, which was supposed to be our saving grace. That is why we still decided to still go even though we knew it was going to be a hot couple of days. It was so hot the electricity that runs to the filter in the pool went out which meant no pool. Last summer the pool was closed when we went too. Some of you may remember this pitiful pic of the boys from that camping trip...
We were able to swim for a bit on our first day this trip, but it didn't last long. I didn't even take any pictures by the pool because I thought we would be there a lot. We actually ended up coming home a day earlier than planned. Along with being so hot during the day there was also no campfires allowed. Who camps with no campfires? So this was how we had to roast our smores...
...on the camping stove.

Despite the heat, no campfires, the caves on the hiking trails being closed because of bats and the mosquitoes that ate us alive we really did have a great time! You can't beat the awesome family time on a camping trip.
Our boys are really great bike riders, so we went on lots of bike rides and did a whole lot of exploring.

This is Josh telling us how big the mouse was that he just saw
It was also nice just to relax whenever is cooled down a bit by our campfire camping stove and listen to boys try to tell jokes and hear all the sounds of the wildlife around us.

Until the next camping trip.... which will be somewhere with a lake so we don't have to worry about a closed pool!

Chillaxin'

After a busy month of May, we are really enjoying a more relaxed month of June. July and August will get real busy with two more weddings, getting ready for school and moving.

Yep.... moving.

We sold our house and are getting ready to start escrow. More to come on that later.... it is very bittersweet.

It is nice to have some down time and just chill. We haven't really had too much going on Mike's days off, which has made for lots of bike riding, bbqing, water gun wars and just doing whatever.

Blogging has kinda been slow. Really because I have nothing exciting to post and all my nap/after bedtime computer time is taken over by searching for houses online.

Speaking of computer time.... nap time is officially over.... I hear chatting coming from two cute little boys' room.

Until next time...

Knights, Mickey and Memories

We quite possibly had one of the best weeks ever! Sandwiched in between two wedding filled weekends we went to Medieval Times and Disneyland. We celebrated Josh and Jason's 5th and 3rd birthdays and made so many fun memories.

I could seriously post over 300 pics of all the fun.... here are a few of my favs.

Our good friends came and met us one day. Here are our kiddos minus their handsome one yr old boy.

We may have an arranged marriage already set up since birth for these two.

Here they are two years ago at our last Disneyland trip.

Poor Jason was passed out in the stroller when the kids got to meet Woody.

So Much Fun! We can't wait to go again!

My brother's wedding was perfect! I am so blessed to have a new sister. God gave them the most beautiful weather and it made for one amazing beach wedding. I am SO happy for them!

More Baseball, Wedding Week x2 and Vacation!

We are still busy with baseball and the boys are still loving it. A photographer came to one of Josh's games and took pictures. Then he put all the pictures in a book for the teams. The parents got a chance to look through the photos and purchase them if we wanted. How could I resist? There was actually the most pictures of Josh. Here are just a few.

The countdown has started to my brother's beach wedding this Saturday. All the craziness of last minute details has begun and I can't wait to get there to help. Still can't believe that Luc and Vanessa will soon be Mr. and Mrs. I do know that they are going to have the cutest little ring bearers ever!!

After all the excitement of the wedding weekend we will be off to a much needed family vacation. The four of us, Medieval Times, Mickey, a visit with sweet friends, Josh and Jason's birthday and our anniversary should make for one fun week. It was 2 years ago almost exactly that we went to Disneyland for the boys' 1st and 3rd birthdays.

And there's more...
The following weekend is another wedding. Mike's college roommate, Austin is getting married to the sweetest girl, Amy. He was in our wedding and now Mike will be in his.

How special to celebrate our 7th anniversary at the wedding of some of our closest friends.

Until then... this mommy has a whole lot of cleaning and packing to do. Can't wait!
