Easter and Mom's Birthday

It's spring break!! Yahooo!
We started our spring break out right with a trip to Monterey. Easter weekend also was my mom's 50th. Yes, she is young... that's what I keep hearing. So my immediate family all spent the weekend in Monterey. Our condo was in Pacific Grove to be exact. We started off by everyone meeting at our house, having lunch and then we were on our way. Josh made sure to leave this for the Easter Bunny so he would know where we were.

I have a zillion pics from our weekend. Here are just a few fun ones. We walked around down town Pacific Grove, celebrated my mom's bday, went to Carmel, walked from the condo to Lover's Beach a few times, cooked meals together, played some fun kinect dancing games(which I totally schooled everyone in), dyed Easter eggs, walked Cannery Row and much more.

It was such a fun weekend. We can't wait to do it again!

So now we are home and enjoying what's left of our spring break. This sweet boy has a very early morning.
We have a 6:30am check in for his surgery. I will try my best to update when we are home and settled from the hospital. We would love your prayers! =)

Jog-a-Thon

Friday was our school's annual Jog-a-Thon. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year and by far one of the most fun days of the school year. The students were all so excited and Josh had so much fun.

Josh all ready and excited to out to the field with this class
Stretching with his class before they start
I am so blessed to have this job where I can be right there for all of his school events

Praying before they start
And the Kindergartners are off...

Josh ended with running 22 laps and "nonstop" is what he has to tell everyone. He had so much fun. My class' turn was later in the day. They had just as much fun in the Jog-a-Thon as well.

These spring school events mean we are getting closer to summer break! Yay!

I have to update on Jason as well. I often feel bad that I don't get to be in his class nearly as much as I do with Josh. It will be so nice when he is in Kindergarten. Here are the proofs of Jason's spring pics that I know the grandparents will enjoy. :)

His school does these. I honestly thought they were a little dorky, but will probably cave in and order at least one. My favorite is the one of him holding the newspaper.

This sweet boy is still having ear issues. If you know my boy or have been reading this blog you know that he has already had tubes put in his ears once. Well, they aren't doing their job, so during spring break Jason is having another surgery. He will have the old tubes taken out, all the fluid drained, new tubes put in and lastly, his adenoids removed. This surgery better do the trick. This will be the 3rd surgery we have gone through with Jason and it is one of my least favorite things ever. We are not looking forward to the surgery and recovery part at all, but we sure pray this helps all the ear issues he has been having, as well as his speech.

Enjoy the weekend! We are off to a full Saturday of baseball.

Go Bulls

I have a feeling that a lot of my posts for the next few months might revolve around baseball. Pretty much because our life revolves around baseball right now and mostly because Josh is one adorable baseball player.

This year he is on the Durham Bulls. The teams in his division are named after minor league baseball teams. Tonight's game was fun. Josh was awesome!

I have to say that I the Team Mom did a pretty good job designing the banner ;)

For the first part of the game Josh played 1st base

He hit a line drive

Running to 1st

Score!

The last part of the game he was catcher

Catching those foul balls

Good game
I love seeing Josh have so much fun enjoying something he loves and that he is really good at. We have baseball 3 nights next week, so I am sure there are more baseball posts to come.

My Boy and His Toys

My husband is the ultimate kid and I have a garage full of toys to prove it. I have to say though, he uses every toy he has. He isn't one of those who gets into a hobby and then never does the activity again. (Wait, I take it back. If any of you know the "rope" story.... that may be one hobby he hasn't revisited... HA!) For the most part, he uses all his toys on a regular basis.

He has been hinting to me for a while now about getting another new toy. Since I am the responsible one around here, I always say no. Recently, things happen to work out in a certain situation that made it totally possible for him to finally get his much wanted new toy, so I gave in.

So this is what he and I did today while my awesome sister was here visiting and stayed with the boys.

When he first got it, I was totally a little embarrassed because I feel like we are showing our age. I just picture old people on these kind of motorcycles. I have to admit though that it is super fun. And having a cute pink and black helmet helps too.

Should be a fun summer!!

Josh's Day Off

Friday was no school for Josh because we had a Teacher in Service Day. I still had to work, but had no students to teach. Mike was also off on Friday, so he and Josh took advantage of the beautiful day and went dirt bike riding. Jason went to school maybe four times the whole month of February, so I took him to school and he was excited to see all his friends.
Before Josh hit the trail Mike had him practice in the open lot. Here is some video Mike got of him. Josh was so excited that he rode in 2nd gear.
